Objective: The South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) is a statutory public entity, an oversight body of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) Act, No. 67 of 2008. The entity is charged with developing, fostering and maintaining an integrated and transparent national framework for the recognition of learning achievements, ensuring that:
• South African qualifications meet appropriate criteria and are internationally comparable.
• The country’s qualifications are of acceptable quality.
• The quality of education and training is enhanced.
• Access, mobility and progression within education, training and career paths are realised.
SAQA seeks to appoint a Website Administrator to manage content updates on the SAQA website and SharePoint site, and to ensure effective hosting, testing, and maintenance of the platforms. Reporting to the Manager: Communications and Advocacy, this position will monitor and ensure the functionality of SAQA’s website and SharePoint site.
Requirements are: |
• An appropriate, recognised qualification at NQF Level 6 or equivalent. • A relevant NQF level 7 qualification will be an advantage. • Five years’ relevant work experience. • Experience and exposure in the Education sector will be an advantage. |
Duties : |
• Manage content updates on SAQA’s website and SharePoint. • Provide technical support to team members for SAQA website-related queries or issues. • Develop code for minor additions or changes on the website. • Manage user access control to the back end. • Ensure effective hosting, testing and maintenance of the SAQA website. • Monitor website and SharePoint analytics, produce user statistics and generate regular reports. • Ensure all content is accurate, up-to-date, and aligns with the organisation’s branding and messaging guidelines. • Collaborate with the stakeholder relations team to develop and publish relevant and timely content that aligns with stakeholder needs. • Enhance stakeholder engagement. • Facilitate the development and implementation of internal communication policies, procedures, and processes. |
