Independent Contractor - Ratification of Foreign Qualifications

All Inclusive Salary package (R): R175,53 Per Hour

Contract Type: Independent contractor – As and when required
Objective: To assist the Ratification of Foreign Qualifications sub-unit with the comparison process of foreign qualifications.

Requirements are:

Level 5 on the 10 Level NQF or Level 4 on the 8 Level NQF, or equivalent. An NQF Level 6 qualification on the 10 Level NQF or Level 5 on the 8 Level NQF will be an added advantage. – A minimum of one year of proven experience in project management and information management with a focus on data management. More than one year of relevant experience will be an added advantage.

Duties :

Evaluation of foreign qualifications, including but not limited to: • Allocating of files and country specialisations for verification; • Drafting letters; • Verifying the authenticity of foreign qualification awards; • Conducting research and seeking additional information as needed; • Seeking accreditation status of foreign institutions and verifying the status of foreign qualifications; • Assisting applicants with queries; • Responding to emails received through the foreign institutions mailbox; and • Printing of certificates as part of the transition to going paperless. The below outlines the deliverables expected for each independent contractor, over a 40-hour period: • Printing of SCoE’s - 200 • Foreign award emails (POP’s and responses) - 300 • Reactivation of files - 250 • Non-national / non-compliant letters - 50 • Comparisons - 115 • Verification initiation - 100 • Non-national closing of application / moving to comparison phase -100 Note: Payment is linked to deliverables and will be disbursed based on progress against the deliverable.
