All Inclusive Salary package (R): R617 009 – R808 775 Per Annum

Objective: The South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) is a statutory public entity that operates under the NQF Act, No. 67 of 2008. SAQA seeks to appoint a Project Coordinator: Finance. The successful candidate will assist the Executive: Finance (CFO) in managing the work of the division through excellent project management, administration, communication, computer, and organisational skills. The incumbent will perform such other duties as may be required of the Executive: Finance (CFO).


Requirements are: The most eligible candidate must hold an appropriate recognised qualification at NQF Level 6 on the 10 Level NQF or Level 5 on the 8 Level NQF, or equivalent.
An NQF Level 7 qualification in financial management will be an added advantage.
A minimum of 3 years’ appropriate experience and the ability to write reports in professional English is essential.
More than 3 years of appropriate experience and the ability to analyse responses to questionnaires and produce reports are advantageous.
The incumbent must have a good knowledge of the SAQA policies and procedures, governance/secretarial protocol in the public sector, document management and archiving, planning, organising, and coordinating.
Good computer skills, report writing, time management, and minute-taking skills should be the strengths of those aspiring for this appointment.
An advantage would be a good understanding of financial matters relating to public entities or in the public sector.
Duties : • Co-ordinate all general arrangements for SAQA meetings including booking arrangements for boardroom, internal and external venues as well as catering in accordance with set procedures
• Co-ordinate the administration arrangements in respect of attendance lists, travelling, and/or accommodation
• Schedule meetings and appointments for the Executive: Finance (CFO)
• Draft the minutes and agendas and prepare meeting documentation for distribution to members and their committees
• Act as the Secretariat for the internal procurement committee and division meetings
• Provide administrative services such as photocopying, scanning, electronic document management, faxing, and filing as per routine office procedures
• Assist with the coordination of work for the Executive: Finance (CFO)
• Set up a tracking system for deliverables required by the CFO
• Track the progress of deliverables on projects and meeting timelines
• Ensure professional interaction between the Executive: Finance (CFO) and relevant stakeholders in respect of appointments
• Ensure that all other logistical arrangements are processed, i.e. Parking, and access cards for the Executive’s visitors.
