All Inclusive Salary package (R): R779 715 – R1 021 923 Per Annum
Benefits: The successful candidate may structure the total package for a 13th cheque. Housing, medical aid, and pension allowance are included in the total package.

Objective: The South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) is a statutory public entity that operates under the NQF Act, No. 67 of 2008. SAQA seeks to appoint a Manager: Finance. The successful candidate will manage the Finance function according to defined business goals.


Requirements are: The most eligible candidate must hold an appropriate recognised qualification in Finance, or related field plus articles at NQF Level 7 on the 10 Level NQF or Level 6 on the 8 Level NQF, or equivalent.
Chartered Accountant CA (SA) designation will be advantageous. A minimum of 3 years’ post articles experience in a corporate finance department and 2 years’ managerial experience is required for this position.
The incumbent must have a good knowledge and understanding of GRAP/GAAP accounting principles, SAQA policies, and procedures, PFMA/treasury requirements, ACCPAC, PPPFA, accounting systems, and Supply Chain Management.
Strategic thinking, financial management, leadership, good communication, project management, and analytical skills should be the strengths of those aspiring for this appointment.
Characteristics of a transformational leader with strong managerial skills, a clear vision, and focused action would position the candidate favourably.
Duties : • Prepare monthly management reports as per accounting principles and practices
• Ensure that the annual financial statements are prepared according to Generally Recognised Accounting Practice (GRAP)
• Ensure that the annual financial statements are prepared according to the national treasury guidelines and template
• Assist the Executive: Finance (CFO) in preparing SAQA′s scenario′fs budget by collating the inputs from the various units and sub-units
• Assist in maintaining the financial and accounting systems that meet all the requirements of GRAP, good governance and internal controls
• Check that all payments, purchases, and income received have been offset correctly in respect of each unit′s budgets according to set procedures
• Supervise the fixed assets, physical count
• Ensure that work is up to date and preparation for internal and external Audits audits are completed on time and correctly
• Recommend remedial measures on mitigating risks identified
• Ensure that all staff in finance comply with and implement SAQA policies and procedures accordingly
