Objective: The South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) is a statutory public entity that operates under the NQF Act, No. 67 of 2008. SAQA seeks to appoint a Specialist: Verifications to co-ordinate and participate in the process flow that leads to the verification of qualifications submitted by clients. The successful candidate will provide knowledge, systems, and resource support to the core function for the benefit of the processing environment. Perform such other reasonable duties as may be required by the Manager: Verifications and Authentication Services.

The most eligible candidate must hold an appropriate recognised qualification at NQF Level 6 on the 10 Level NQF or Level 5 on the 8 Level NQF, or equivalent, coupled with two years’ supervisory experience and two years’ experience working with large relational databases. An NQF Level 7 qualification on the 10 Level NQF or Level 6 on the 8 Level NQF will be an added advantage. One year of project management experience will be an added advantage. The incumbent must have good knowledge of SA Education & Training Legislation, information management, and verification standards, knowledge management, use of ICT in business process with excellent project management, and relationship management skills. |
Duties : |
• Coordinate and supervise daily operations, which provide for the processing of verification requests. • Ensure that the service rendered to the verification function meets quality expectations and is continuously improved. • Attend to standard and non-standard client queries, complaints, and requests in accordance with processes and procedures. • Contact national and international information partners to confirm the verification of qualification achievements. • Ensure effective links with and quality service to other functions in the unit and in the organisation. • Be the first point of contact with the clients offering specialised knowledge of company services and products. • Strengthen and maintain relationships with information partners. |
