SPECIALIST: OCCUPATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS SUB-FRAMEWORK (OQSF) AND GENERAL AND FURTHER EDUCATION AND TRAINING QUALIFICATIONS SUB-FRAMEWORK (GFETQSF) QUALIFICATIONS
All Inclusive Salary package (R): R617 009 – R808 775

Objective: The South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) is a statutory public entity that operates under the NQF Act, No. 67 of 2008. SAQA seeks to appoint a Specialist: Occupational Qualifications Sub-Framework (OQSF) and General and Further Education and Training Qualifications Sub-Framework (GFETQSF) Qualifications, who will be responsible for the evaluation of qualifications, part qualifications. Perform such other reasonable duties as may be required by the Manager: OQSF and GFETQSF Qualifications such as assisting with the evaluation of OQSF qualifications or professional bodies.

The most eligible candidate must hold an appropriate recognised qualification at NQF Level 6 on the 10 Level NQF or Level 5 on the 8 Level NQF, or equivalent, coupled with a minimum of 2 years’ supervisory experience in an education and training environment. An NQF Level 7 qualification on the 10-Level NQF or NQF Level 6 qualification on the 8-Level NQF would be advantageous. The incumbent must have an in-depth knowledge of the SA Education & Training Legislation, NQF legislation, and related policies. Project management, good written and oral communication including presentation, report writing, facilitation, and problem-solving skills must be among the strengths of those aspiring for this appointment. |
| Duties : |
• Evaluate OQSF and GFETQSF qualifications in line with the policy and criteria for the registration of qualifications and part-qualifications on the NQF and other related legislation (new qualifications, amendments, resubmissions, replacements, and re-registrations). • Action and follow up the recommendations and decisions of the NQF Qualifications committee and the SAQA board. • Develop, maintain and deliver presentations on qualifications for stakeholder meetings. • Prepare qualifications for registration on the NQF. |
