SPECIALIST: HEQSF QUALIFICATIONS
All Inclusive Salary package (R): R 491 403 – R 578 841 Per Annum

Objective: The South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) is a statutory public entity that operates under the NQF Act, No. 67 of 2008. SAQA seeks to appoint a Specialist: Higher Education Qualifications Sub-Framework (HEQSF) Qualifications, who will be responsible for the evaluation of higher education qualifications. Perform such other reasonable duties as may be required by the Manager: HEQSF Qualifications such as assisting with the evaluation of OQSF qualifications or professional bodies. The most eligible candidate must hold an appropriate recognised qualification at NQF Level 6 on the 10-Level NQF or equivalent, coupled with a minimum of 2 years’ supervisory experience in an education and training environment. An NQF Level 7 qualification on the 10-Level NQF would be advantageous. The incumbent must have an in-depth knowledge of the SA Education & Training Legislation, NQF legislation, and related policies. Project management, good written and oral communication including presentation, report writing, facilitation, and problem-solving skills must be among the strengths of those aspiring for this appointment. |
| Duties : |
• Evaluate HEQSF qualifications in line with the policy and criteria for the registration of qualifications and part-qualifications on the NQF and other related legislation (new qualifications, amendments, resubmissions, replacements, and re-registrations). • Action and follow up the recommendations and decisions of the NQF Qualifications Committee and the SAQA board. • Develop, maintain, and deliver presentations on qualifications for stakeholder meetings. • Prepare qualifications for registration on the NQF. |
