Objective: A vacancy exists within the Directorate: National Learners’ Records Database (NLRD) for a person to provide a range of secretarial and administrative services to the Directorate, which include assisting with the management of resources, budgeting process and training.

The most eligible candidate must have an appropriate NQF Level 4 i.e. National Senior Certificate or equivalent, with at least 2 years of secretarial/administrative experience. Qualifying candidates must be computer literate and have excellent administrative, communication, time management, telephone etiquette, problem solving and letter writing skills, good interpersonal relations and a strong adherence to organisational values should be among the strengths of those aspiring for appointment. |
Duties : |
• Providing secretarial and office support services - Managing the NLRD Directors's calendar and activities - Organising meetings - Coordinating minute-taking - Planning and management with regard to the secretarial function - Coordinating the administration and office management of the NLRD Directorate - Ensuring compliance with Directorate undertakings by tracking and following up on commitments and decisions - Making travel arrangements - Co-ordinating the flow of information in the NLRD Director's Office by dealing with correspondence, as well as telephone calls and e-mails - Organising functions, workshops and other events - Managing all logistics - Co-ordinating the administrative arrangements of NLRD visitors with respect to arranging parking and access to SAQA House • Assisting with the management of resources, budgeting process and training - Assisting with the financial processes by tracking payments, obtaining quotations, processing invoices and following up on outstanding payments - Managing equipment requirements as per defined procedures - Managing material usage and applications to ensure efficiency at all times - Managing the telephone accounts of the Directorate - Arranging training for staff - Managing the NLRD's Workplace Skills Plan |
