All Inclusive Salary package (R): R344 168

Objective: A vacancy exist within the Directorate: Foreign Qualifications, Evaluations and Advisory Services for a person who will undertake verification of foreign qualifications to ascertain appropriate status and genuineness of qualifications submitted for evaluation.

The eligible candidate must have a qualification at NQF Level 5 e.g. in Human / Social Sciences, Education, IT, Communication or Administration or equivalent, together with a minimum of one year experience in data management, information management, administration and research support. An NQF level 6 or 7 qualification or equivalent will be an advantage. Experience in an education or government environment will be an advantage. Knowledge of a foreign language (French and/Portuguese) will be an added advantage. Linguistic proficiency (English), analytical, computer proficiency, organising, time management, research skills, problem solving, a sense of urgency, attention to detail, a methodical disposition, good interpersonal relations and a strong adherence to strong organisational values should be among the strengths of those aspiring for appointment. |
| Duties : |
Undertaking verification (online as well as contact based) of client qualification achievements - Lodging and managing verification of individual qualification awards from awarding institutions. - Undertaking the online verification of individual qualification awards where appropriate national, regional or institutional repositories are available. - Escalating sensitive / administratively complex cases. Assisting in building verification practice, resources and relationships - Using available databases to administer information sources reference/contacts. - Developing and submitting reports on a regular basis. - Taking special note and documenting information/cases of fraud. - Providing the necessary support to research and the documenting of new practices in verification methodology. - Working with line manager to continuously maintain and improve verification processes, procedures, systems and formats. - Assisting in strengthening inter-institutional relationships. - Supporting in the organising of stakeholder consultations, seminars and conferences that are planned from time to time. - Supporting in the development of Standard Operating Procedures for verification. |
