Objective: This vacancy exists within the Directorate of Finance and Administration for a person who will provide effective Supply Chain services in accordance with the prescribed legislation.

The eligible candidate must have diploma or its equivalent on NQF level 5, relating to business management and/or supply chain management as a minimum qualification, plus three years working experience in supply chain management. Computer literacy and knowledge of the ACCPAC system should be the strengths of those aspiring to be appointed in this position. Extensive knowledge of the PFMA, PPPFA and Supply Chain Management policies and procedures are prerequisites. |
Duties : |
The main duties include the following: - Manage the requisitions, procurement, distribution and administration of stationery and the stationery bulk storeroom - Provide administration support in respect of quotations, contracts and Supply Chain Management - Identify and implement the optimum methods of procurement for goods and services - Analyse expenditure (past and future) and identify lead and delivery times - Maintenance of the suppliers database and suppliers performance - Assist in effective management of contracts - Develop progress reports in respect of procurement processes, procedures, system status etc. |
