ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER: HUMAN RESOURCES

All Inclusive Salary package (R): R320 753

Objective: A vacancy exists within the Directorate of Human Resources for a person who is a human resource generalist with a focus on coordinating, facilitating and administering the activities and interventions relating to the development and implementation of learning and development in SAQA.


Requirements are: The most eligible candidate will hold an appropriate minimum qualification equivalent to NQF level 5 and a minimum of two years' experience in learning and development.
An NQF level 6 or 7 qualification will be an advantage.
Three (3) to four (4) years or more of experience in learning and development, preferably as a Skills Development Facilitator, will be an added advantage.
The successful candidate must have a professional attitude, be client/customer focussed, have excellent administrative skills, have good verbal and written communication, be self-motivated, be accurate, with attention to detail and have the ability to cope with pressure.
Knowledge of the human resource legislative framework, with an emphasis on the skills development legislation is a prerequisite.
An understanding of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) together with knowledge and experience of facilitating learning and development in government department or a statutory body would be an advantage.
An intermediate to advanced proficiency in the use of MS Office such as Word, Excel, Access and Power Point, e-mail and the Internet are prerequisites.
Experience in the Sage 300 People System would be a definite advantage.
Duties : Provide support to ensure that all HR legislation and amendments and specifically the Skills Development Act is complied with
Assist with inducting new employees
Assist with facilitating the Internship programme
Administer the financial assistance for further education of employees in terms of policy
Manage all learning and development information on Sage 300 People System, including extracting reports
Facilitate and administer personality profiling, teambuilding and skills assessments
Provide general human resource functions as it pertains to recruitment, leave management and the SAQA Employee Wellness Programme.
