Objective: A vacancy exists in SAQA for an Assistant Director: NQF Advisor to provide specialist input to promote the credibility and accessibility of NQF advisory services countrywide.

The eligible candidate must hold an appropriate NQF level 6 qualification or equivalent in education/behavioural sciences/management, plus a minimum of 3 years related experience. An NQF level 7 qualification or equivalent would be an advantage. Other requirements include excellent verbal and written communication skills, call centre administration and client relations experience, a fair knowledge of ICT and telephony communication systems (e.g. web-and mobi-sites) and good keyboard/capturing proficiency. The candidate must also be familiar with the administration of knowledge databases (e.g. learning opportunities, career information and qualifications frameworks). Experience in participating in and facilitating radio and media campaigns as well as festivals and exhibitions would position the candidate well. Experience in and an awareness of national and international career advice practices and trends as well as strong stakeholder/role player/intermediaries, networking and business relationships would be an advantage. A further advantage would be life skills training. A valid driver's licence is a definite requirement. Being a team player and the ability to resolve conflict and cope with pressure should be among the strengths of those aspiring for appointment. |

Provide information and advice in respect of the NQF as it relates to qualification registration and career paths; Enhance the NQF knowledge bases and system functionality; Contribute to the development of programmes and projects for dissemination and promotion of NQF information to the public; and Develop and participate in knowledge transfer and capacitating programmes and projects for the lifelong learner. |
