ADMINISTRATOR: VERIFICATIONS (1-YEAR FIXED-TERM CONTRACT)

Objective: The South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) is a statutory public entity that operates under the NQF Act, No. 67 of 2008. SAQA seeks to appoint an Administrator: Verifications. The successful candidate will undertake verification of National qualifications by processing individual applications and related enquiries. (Applicants are required to attach an application letter together with their curriculum vitae and at least three references).


Requirements are: • The most eligible candidate must hold an appropriate recognised qualification at NQF Level 5 on the 10 Level NQF in Administration, Education, Human or Social Sciences.
• An NQF Level 6 qualification on the 10 Level NQF in Administration, Education, Human or Social Sciences will be an added advantage.
• A minimum of three years of experience in administration or education is required.
• At least two years of experience is required in working with large relational databases together with data capturing or information management.
• More than four years of experience in administration or education or two years of experience in verification of national qualifications will be an added advantage.
• The incumbent must have a good knowledge of verification processes regarding national qualifications standards and procedures.
• Computer Literacy, time management, problem-solving, attention to detail and good written and verbal communication should be the strengths of those aspiring for this appointment.
Duties : • Plan, organise and document activities to ensure the necessary focus, achievement of delivery targets and availability of performance data.
• Screening of applications for compliance and providing feedback to clients.
• Draft relevant letters, ensuring accuracy and completeness in terms of client needs.
• Undertake verification (online as well as contact based) of client qualification achievements.
• Help to keep information sources / reference materials up to date, known and accessible.
• Evaluate client needs and provide information and support to optimally address these while proactively managing expectations.
• Maintain a proper register of the records of daily file tracking for reference and reporting purposes and identify issues that should be fed back to the team for continuous improvement.
• Attend to client enquiries and complaints and redirect to the relevant role players to be addressed.
• Render the required support to facilitate client’s needs related to authentication services which includes client services.
