Objective: A vacancy exists in SAQA for an Administration Officer: Verifications to process public and private client requests for the verification of qualifications that are obtained at South African institutions (with particular emphasis on people employed in the Public Service in South Africa, as well as applicants for Public Service positions).

The eligible candidate will hold an appropriate qualification at NQF level 5, or its equivalent, plus a minimum of one years proven experience in database management/data capturing/information management. The person must be computer literate (especially concerning databases and spreadsheets), and have an understanding of information management, and written and verbal communication skills. Time management, customer service, communication, problem solving, attention to detail, accuracy and integrity should be the strengths of those aspiring for appointment. Prospective candidates should be team players, self motivated, adaptable and methodical in their approach to work The following will be advantageous: Experience in working with large relational databases, and budgeting and management of income and expenditure, an understanding of the South African National Qualifications Framework, an understanding of higher education and training systems in South Africa, and an understanding of protocol when dealing with government and other educational institutions. |

The processing of verification of South African qualification - To process individual verifications in accordance with SAQA processes and procedures - To ensure accuracy and attention to detail in processing verifications Communicating with Information Partners - To contact existing information partners in accordance with set processes and procedures to ensure timeous delivery of the Verifications service Providing Client Services - To respond to standard client queries received via phone or email, in accordance with processes and procedures - To maintain professional working relationships with clients - To ensure that the quality of service standards are maintained as per service level agreements and SAQA`s Client Standards |
