Objective: A vacancy exists within the Directorate: Registration and Recognition for a person who will provide support to the Directorate by assisting with activities that lead to the registration of professional designations and qualifications on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) and the recognition of professional bodies. The core deliverable for the Directorate is the implementation of the NQF Act in terms of the Registration of Qualifications and Professional Designations and the Recognition of Professional Bodies.

The most eligible candidate should have an appropriate recognised NQF Level 6 qualification or equivalent, with at least 3 years experience in the education and training environment, in qualification development, regulatory functions, professional bodies or quality assurance. The candidate must be computer literate (MS Office or Open Office packages) and have excellent report writing, presentation and negotiation skills. A working knowledge and understanding of the NQF Act, Act 67 of 2008 and related legislation will be a distinct advantage. |

Evaluating qualifications against SAQA criteria to determine their suitability for registration on the NQF and writing reports on such evaluations; Evaluating applications for professional body recognition and professional designation registration to determine their suitability for recognition and registration on the NQF and writing reports on such evaluations; Providing strategic advice and professional support to stakeholders in relation to qualifications and professional designation registration and, professional body recognition; Maintaining effective document management and data storage related to own work utilizing existing administration systems. |
