All Inclusive Salary package (R): R 950 886
Benefits: The successful candidate will qualify for a 13th cheque, housing, medical aid and pension allowance in the above total salary package.

Objective: A vacancy exists within the Directorate of Human Resources for a person who will provide strategic direction, leadership and advice in the management of Human Resources within SAQA, through an effective HR strategy and policy formulation, development and implementation within the South African legal framework.


Requirements are: The most eligible candidate will hold an appropriate recognised Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification (NQF level 7) plus a minimum of five years of experience in a senior HR position.
Negotiation, conflict and dispute resolution, communication, problem solving, project management, and transformational leadership skills should be the strengths of those aspiring for appointment.
A thorough knowledge of the HR legislative environment is a prerequisite.
An understanding of the general legal environment will be an added advantage.
Furthermore, knowledge of the South African Education and Training system and SAQA legislation will be an added advantage.
Characteristics of a transformational leader with a clear vision and focused action would position the candidate favourably.
Duties : Provide strategic and operational HR leadership for the achievement of the Directorates deliverables
Ensure that all processes, systems and policies are in place for efficient and effective management of Human Resources;
Provide an effective staffing service;
Conduct periodic salary and conditions of employment benchmarking;
Monitor the performance management system;
Provide Labour Relations support and advice to staff and management;
Conduct salary and conditions of service negotiations with representative union;
Manage all labour relations matters including representations at the CCMA;
Ensure legislative compliance in respect of all HR practices;
Coordinate the organisations learning and development interventions; and
Manage staff and other resources such as finances, equipments and materials
