All Inclusive Salary package (R): R 474 723

Contract Type: Permanent
Objective: A vacancy exists within the Directorate of Information Technology for a person who will be tasked with the following: plan, develop or acquire, implement and maintain, monitor, support and upgrade software; administer software in a multi-platform ICT environment (MS Windows, LINUX). Manage service level agreements with external service providers. Manage operational level agreements with internal clients. Perform such other IT related duties as may be required by the Director: Information Technology from time to time.

The most eligible candidate must be in possession of a relevant NQF level 6 qualification or equivalent qualification in Information Technology plus a minimum of three years’ experience in Java programming and the Struts2 framework. The candidate must have experience in using HTML 5 and CSS 3. MS SQL database development, MySQL database development and PHP programming will be an added advantage. Communication, problem solving, project management and evaluation skills should be the strengths of those aspiring for appointment. |

Plan, build or acquire, implement, monitor, upgrade multi-platform software systems; Manage service level agreements with service providers; Provide user support and training; and Perform other IT related tasks as required by the IT Director from time to time. |
