ADMINISTRATION CLERK: COMPARISON

All Inclusive Salary package (R): R197 281

Contract Type: Permanent
Objective: A vacancy exists within the Directorate Foreign Qualification Evaluations and Advisory Services (DFQEAS) for a person who will provide administrative support to the Comparison Sub-directorate of foreign qualifications evaluation.


Requirements are: Eligible candidates will have a National Senior Certificate or comparable NQF Level 4 qualification (for example, National Certificate Vocation at NQF Level 4); or a relevant and recognised NQF Level 4 qualification, coupled with further business related (short) courses; or a relevant and recognised NQF Level 4 qualification in a field such as Business or Office Administration, or equivalent.
The successful candidate must also have one year’s relevant experience, preferably in business/office administration.
Strict discipline in terms of time management and deadlines, as well as a customer orientation, attention to detail and being a team player, should be the strengths of those aspiring for appointment. Computer literacy is prerequisite.
Duties : • Assist the Team Manager with file and document administration
• Support and enhance smooth workflow in the comparison production environment to ensure delivery within timelines
• Provide assistance to the team with regard to the drafting of correspondence and keeping of statistics
• Maintain a proper register of the records of daily file tracking for reference and reporting purposes and identify issues that should be fed back to the team for continuous improvement
• Draft letters after comparison has been done, as requested, by using approved standard documents and adapting them to match case details
• Use guidelines provided by the Team Manager and available templates for this purpose to create follow-up correspondence when non-compliant applications (missed in the screening process) have been identified
• Record statistics on various elements of comparison administration, as required.
