All Inclusive Salary package (R): R441 192

Objective: A position is available within the Directorate Foreign Qualification Evaluations and Advisory Services (DFQEAS) for a person who will oversee and coordinate the work of a team of evaluators who render a foreign qualifications evaluation and advisory service to the public.


Requirements are: Eligible candidates will have a relevant qualification at NQF Level 7, e.g. in (an area of) human / social sciences or education.
The successful candidate must also have a background in applied human sciences research, comparative education and or credential evaluation; and two years’ experience in supervisory management
The ability to inspire and unite staff behind a common goal, effectively manage processes and quality delivery, a strong customer orientation, a sense of urgency, attention to detail, analytical competence and a methodical disposition should be the strengths of those aspiring for appointment. Computer literacy is prerequisite.
Duties : • Monitor and guide daily processes providing for the processing of applications
• Minimise risk by ensuring that procedures are in place, relevant and adhered to
• Ensure effective to other functions in the directorate and in the organisation
• Ensure that the service meets quality expectations and is continuously improved
• Ensure the availability of records and statistical data for reporting and planning
• Ensure effective client service and support
• Ensure optimal use of capacity to meet production requirements at all times
• Ensure that the environment is conducive to optimal delivery
• Ensure the development of relevant knowledge and oversee the identification and proper use and management of knowledge resources and information
• Oversee the availability and responsible use of material resources
• Monitor the ongoing efficiency of systems and technologies
• Manage work of subordinate staff to ensure that productivity outputs are met
• Oversee the ongoing development to staff in line with PDPs and career paths
• Ensure that conduct and performance meet expectations
