All Inclusive Salary package (R): R880 933.68

Objective: A vacancy exists within the Directorate: Advocacy, Communication and Support for a dynamic individual who will manage and render cutting edge information and communications support to all SAQA Directorates underpinned by flair for social media. The incumbent must also display the characteristics of a leader with clear vision and focused action. The Director: Advocacy and Communication Support will report to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

The eligible candidate should be in possession of an NQF level 7 qualification or equivalent in Communication, Marketing and Journalism, plus a minimum of five years experience in a relevant senior position. An enhanced knowledge and experience of strategic and operational planning processes, in the field of advocacy and communications is a requirement. Furthermore, knowledge of the South African Education and Training system and NQF legislation will be an added advantage. Registration with a professional body will be an added advantage. Communications, events management, advocacy, problem solving, project management, conflict management and transformational leadership skills should be the strengths of those aspiring for appointment. |
Duties : |
• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the achievement of the directorate’s deliverables which include: Advocacy; Information; SAQA publications; Communication; and Events management • Manage staff and other resources such as finances, procurement, equipment and materials. • Manage Stakeholder Relationships. |
